About the Puppet Festival

Taking place in Newtownards, Northern Ireland at Halloween each year, our friendly puppet friends will ensure you have a truly enchanting experience! 

No ghosts or ghouls, just incredible puppet theatre performances and workshops by some of the most talented puppeteers around.

Expect to be amazed by the many different styles of puppetry, such as marionette, ventriloquism, rod and arm puppets, finger and hand puppets, and shadow play.

With lots of bookable shows and free events and activities on offer, this will be a wonderful day out for the whole family!

This year's event takes place on Sunday 25 and Monday 27 October 2025.
